Get Involved
1. Organize your friends. Join the fight against sexual
violence. If you go to events held by your
local rape crisis center, bring a friend or family member.
2. When you hear people express misinformation about sexual
assault, correct them! Let them know the truth, or provide
them with a way to find it out for themselves.
3. Educate your friends and family about sexual violence.
Let them know why it happens, and that it is an important
issue that affects our entire society, not just women.
4. Ask your teachers to invite local rape crisis
centers into your school to talk about sexual violence.
5. Join the "Take Back the Night" march that happens in
April as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Call your
local rape crisis center to find out when this event is taking
place in your town.
6. If you live in Marin County, you can join the peer
